Vehicles sold through Route 66 Auctions are purchased through public auctions. The agreement is concluded during a public auction within the meaning of Article 6:230g of the Dutch Civil Code. For this reason, the statutory right of withdrawal (the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason) does not apply. This exemption is provided for under European legislation governing auction sales.
You can no longer submit a claim once you have taken possession of the vehicle. By accepting the vehicle (or any other lot), you confirm the purchase. We therefore strongly recommend that you inspect a vehicle before placing a bid at the auction.
