The seller offers for sale a 1960 Jaguar MkII 3.4 sedan, finished in ivory with a red leather interior. This example was originally delivered in Switzerland and underwent a comprehensive restoration in Italy from 1995 to 1999. In 2011 it changed hands and has since been owned by the same enthusiast, who maintained it carefully for nearly 15 years. Used sparingly for ceremonial occasions, the car has received scrupulous care including brake and cooling system servicing. The paint is smooth and glossy, free from damage, and the red leather interior remains in beautiful condition. The engine starts easily, shows no smoke or unusual noises, and the gearbox shifts smoothly. Lights and indicators function, and the car holds a valid inspection. It has never been involved in an accident.
The Jaguar Mk 2, introduced in 1959, is celebrated as one of the most elegant sports saloons of its era. Combining graceful styling with strong performance, it quickly gained popularity among enthusiasts and racing drivers alike. Powered by Jaguar’s renowned inline-six engines, the Mk 2 offered spirited acceleration and refined handling, while its luxurious interior made it a comfortable long-distance cruiser. The 3.4-liter variant struck an ideal balance between performance and smoothness, contributing to its reputation as a versatile and desirable classic. Today, the Mk 2 remains a highly collectible model, admired for its British craftsmanship, timeless design, and cultural significance as a symbol of 1960s motoring elegance.
