The seller offers for sale a 1951 Simca 8 Sedan with manual transmission and a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. This Dutch-registered example was restored approximately 15 years ago, both inside and out, and has since been carefully stored indoors. The car starts without hesitation, runs smoothly with no smoke or unusual noises, and the gearbox shifts well. It has been kept in neat condition with only minor points noted: the windscreen wiper and speedometer currently do not function, and the headliner shows some water stains. Otherwise, the body and paint remain free of visible rust or dents, the interior is tidy with only slight wear on the driver’s seat, and the car has no accident history. It is offered as a complete and road-ready classic with a valid Dutch technical inspection certificate.
The Simca 8, produced from 1937 to 1951, was based on Fiat’s 1100 and became one of Simca’s most successful models. Known for its reliable engineering and elegant lines, it was offered in several body styles, including sedan, coupe, and cabriolet. By the early 1950s, the Simca 8 had established itself as a practical yet stylish car in post-war Europe. Today, surviving examples are appreciated for their charm, compact dimensions, and pre-war design character. For collectors, the model represents an affordable entry into classic motoring, offering a combination of French flair and Italian engineering heritage.
