The seller offers for sale a 1992 Alfa Romeo 75, a unique example featuring a Trofeo-style body and a complete Twin Spark engine conversion from the ASN numbered series (unit 0387). The car has undergone a mechanical rebuild, with the engine being revised using new Borgo pistons and cylinders. The transmission has also been rebuilt and features a locked differential. This Alfa retains its manual gearbox and rear-wheel-drive layout, staying true to the 75’s character as Alfa’s final rear-drive sedan.
Multiple mechanical and cosmetic enhancements have been carried out. These include a stainless-steel exhaust system, new suspension components—yellow Bilstein shocks, MAD springs, sway bars from a 3.0L model and new mounts, plus a recent alignment and balancing. Braking performance has been improved with ventilated and slotted front discs, new rear brake discs and pads, high-pressure brake hoses, and fresh fluid service. A new air conditioning service, fuel pump wiring, spark plug wires, battery, crankshaft sensor, and distributors have also been fitted. The sound system has been upgraded.
The exterior has been repainted. The car rides on its original 14-inch Speedline wheels, which have been refurbished. The interior presents as beautiful, fitted with genuine Recaro bucket seats that have undergone ecological cleaning. The headliner has been recently renewed, and the original leather steering wheel and wind deflectors are still in place.
Lighting and controls are functional, and the vehicle has a valid Greek inspection certificate. The road tax is paid, and viewings are welcome by appointment.
The Alfa Romeo 75, introduced in 1985 to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary, was the final rear-wheel-drive sedan produced before Alfa’s merger with Fiat. It became known for its transaxle layout—placing the gearbox at the rear for improved weight distribution—and its spirited driving dynamics. Originally offered with a range of engines from inline-fours to V6s, the 75 stood out from its competitors with its sharp handling, lively engines, and distinctive Italian design.
Though overshadowed by newer front-wheel-drive successors, the 75 retains a strong enthusiast following for its analogue driving feel, rear-drive layout, and mechanical accessibility. The Twin Spark version, introduced later in the model’s lifecycle, brought additional power and refinement, featuring two spark plugs per cylinder and improved fuel management systems. Special editions, such as the ASN numbered variants, were limited-run models aimed at driving enthusiasts and motorsport fans.
In recent years, the Alfa 75 has gained recognition as a collectible driver’s car, especially well-maintained or upgraded examples like this one. The comprehensive work carried out—engine, drivetrain, suspension, and aesthetic upgrades—enhances both reliability and performance, making it an appealing option for buyers seeking a road-ready classic with modernised components. With its sharp styling and well-balanced chassis, the Alfa 75 continues to embody the passionate engineering for which Alfa Romeo is renowned.
