The private seller offers for sale this 1994 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, powered by a 5.2-litre V8 petrol engine, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in reddish-brown metallic with the model’s signature woodgrain side panelling, this example still wears its original paint, which now shows a light patina. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in soft, quilted beige leather and complemented by woodgrain accents on the dashboard, doors and centre console, together with the generous list of standard equipment that set the Grand Wagoneer apart from the rest of the range. The odometer reads 126,230 km. The car was originally delivered new in the United States and was later imported into Germany by a specialist importer for a private customer, fitted with a kilometre speedometer. The current owner has had the car since 2013 and, to the best of their knowledge, is its third owner.

Under the current ownership the Grand Wagoneer has been used sparingly as a fair-weather classic. It has never been driven off-road, was taken off the road and stored in a garage every winter, and covered only around 500 to 1,500 km per year between April and October. The underbody has been treated at least every two years, most recently with Fluid Film. Over the past five years numerous parts have been renewed, supported by invoices and a list of the work carried out, and a further round of repairs was completed in July and August. The car comes with an extensive file including invoices, documentation, type approval certificates, photos and videos. A tow bar is fitted and, according to the seller, has never been used. The car currently holds historic (H) status and its TÜV inspection is valid until August 2027.

The Grand Wagoneer name carries real weight in American motoring history. The original full-size Wagoneer, launched in 1963, is widely regarded as the forerunner of the luxury SUV, and its woodgrain-clad Grand Wagoneer derivative remained in production until 1991. Jeep revived the name for a short period on the then all-new Grand Cherokee ZJ, positioning the Grand Wagoneer as the most luxurious version of the line above the Grand Cherokee Limited. It brought the classic woodgrain side panels back to a modern Jeep and was sold for only a very brief period, almost exclusively on the North American market. That short production run makes it a rare sight today, and especially so in Europe.

At its heart is the 5.2-litre V8, which delivers relaxed, effortless torque and a deep, characterful V8 soundtrack, paired with a smooth automatic gearbox and Quadra-Trac full-time four-wheel drive. The ZJ platform, with its unibody construction and coil-spring suspension, gave the Grand Wagoneer a comfortable, car-like ride that was a clear step forward from its predecessor, while retaining genuine Jeep capability. Combining 1990s American luxury, a charismatic V8 and the unmistakable woodgrain styling of one of the most iconic names in the SUV world, this Grand Wagoneer will appeal to collectors of American classics and to enthusiasts looking for something genuinely out of the ordinary.
