The seller offers for sale this 1959 Ford F100, powered by a 4.8-litre (292 cubic inch) V8 petrol engine, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and fitted with power steering. This example was completely rebuilt over a period of 20 years and is now offered for sale due to the seller’s emigration abroad. The rebuild included a long list of new parts, among them the brakes, suspension, tyres, wheels, clutch and wiper motor. The chassis has been upgraded with a Mustang II front clip and a 4-link rear suspension setup with new shock absorbers, modifications that transform the road manners of a classic pickup. The truck has been finished in fresh paintwork with a special finish, and according to the seller a few small items remain to be attended to.
The truck obtained Dutch registration on 20-09-2024. It was subsequently exported to Belgium but never registered there, which according to the seller makes it straightforward to return the truck to its Dutch registration.
The third-generation Ford F-Series, built from 1957 to 1960, marked a turning point in pickup design. Ford abandoned the separate-fender look of earlier trucks in favour of clean, slab-sided styling with a full-width hood, giving the F100 a modern appearance that still looks striking today. The F-Series would go on to become the best-selling vehicle line in American history, and the late-1950s trucks are among the most collectible of the breed. With its combination of period V8 power, thoroughly updated running gear and distinctive looks, this F100 offers classic American pickup style with far more usable road behaviour than a stock example, making it an appealing proposition for enthusiasts who want to drive their classic regularly.
