The Ford FK series, sold as the Taunus Transit, was built by Ford in Cologne and was the German forerunner of the later Transit. The earlier conversion of the electrical system from 6 volt to 12 volt improves everyday usability. The vehicle carries a German historic registration (H-Kennzeichen) and holds a valid main inspection (TÜV) until August 2027.
