The seller offers for sale this 1965 Mercedes-Benz W111, powered by a 2.2-litre inline-six petrol engine, paired with a manual transmission. This cabriolet is finished in blue with a beige interior and remains in its original open configuration. The engine was completely restored in 2017. The car presents in good condition throughout.
The W111 formed the basis of Mercedes-Benz’s elegant coupé and cabriolet range of the 1960s. While the saloon version is known for its distinctive tailfins, the coupé and cabriolet introduced in the early 1960s adopted a cleaner, more restrained body shaped under the direction of designer Paul Bracq. The six-cylinder cabriolet combined refined open-top motoring with the build quality and engineering for which Mercedes-Benz was known in this period. Today these hand-finished open cars are regarded as some of the most desirable classic Mercedes-Benz models, valued for their proportions, craftsmanship and touring comfort.
