The seller offers for sale this 1972 Jaguar E-Type Coupe, powered by a 4.2-litre twelve-cylinder petrol engine, paired with an automatic transmission.
Finished in red with a tan leather interior, this Series 3 coupé was acquired at a Christie’s classic car auction held in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, in August 2003, where it was offered from the Adon Blades collection in Rotterdam. In the years since, the car was dismantled and repainted, and both the engine and gearbox have been overhauled. Additional upgrades include power steering and air conditioning. The car carries Norwegian registration and is located in Akershus county, Norway.

The E-Type, introduced by Jaguar in 1961, is widely regarded as one of the most significant sports cars of the twentieth century. Enzo Ferrari reportedly described it as the most beautiful car ever made, and its combination of striking design, advanced engineering and competitive pricing set it apart from anything else available at the time. The Series 3, introduced in 1971, brought a new twelve-cylinder engine and a wider, more refined body. It was produced in both roadster and coupé form until 1975, when the model was discontinued and succeeded by the XJ-S.
