The seller offers for sale this 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL, powered by a 4,973cc V8 petrol engine, paired with an automatic transmission. This dark blue W126-series 500 SEL has remained in Spain throughout its life, first registered in Ibiza and later transferred to Toledo. The paintwork retains a good depth of colour and gloss, with only minor marks consistent with age and parking use. The grey interior is trimmed in Beilur velour, a premium factory option of the period, and presents in well-preserved condition throughout, including the carpets. The car is Spanish-registered and located in Madrid community, Spain.

The Mercedes-Benz W126 S-Class was produced from 1979 to 1991 and is widely regarded as one of the finest executive saloons of the twentieth century. Developed under chief engineer Bruno Sacco and engineered with an emphasis on passive safety, aerodynamic efficiency and refinement, the W126 set new standards in its class at the time of its introduction. The 500 SEL variant sat near the top of the range, combining the long-wheelbase SEL body with the M117 V8 engine producing around 240 horsepower. The W126 has developed a strong following among collectors who appreciate its engineering integrity, build quality and timeless proportions.
