For sale is a Chevrolet Corvette C4 from October 1984, first registered in 1986, with historic vehicle registration and an automatic transmission. The car produces approximately 204 hp and is being sold as a project car, only partially roadworthy. The Corvette has a clean history, is accident-free, and the VIN has been verified. Small license plates are registered. The vehicle was originally registered in the USA andt was only later imported to Germany.
The body is in exceptionally good condition. The chassis and undercarriage also make a very well-maintained and high-quality impression overall. The differential and the reinforced transmission look excellent. Overall, the Corvette presents itself surprisingly well for an American classic.
The Corvette is red and was fully wrapped in a high-quality color in 2023. The reason for the wrap was to permanently avoid the typical fiberglass paint fading of the C4. The car has a very clean appearance overall and looks significantly higher quality than many comparable vehicles on the market.
A great deal of money and technical work has already been invested in the vehicle. Installed Among other things, a Holley 600cfm carburetor was installed in combination with an Edelbrock intake (approx. €1,400) in place of the original Crossfire injection. The Corvette also features a digital MSD ignition system worth approximately €1,500–€2,000; the original distributor is included.
The reinforced 700R4 Champion automatic transmission, including torque converter, additional oil cooler, and reinforced differential, alone cost around €4,000. Engine work, including bearings and gaskets, was performed approximately 3,000 miles ago. The alternator and distributor rotor were also replaced in March 2026.
Currently, the intake vacuum at idle is around 16 inHg, which is somewhat low, presumably due to less-than-optimal tuning. Combustion and ignition are clean at idle, but not currently good under load. Cylinder compression is good.
The interior features full leather upholstery as well as A fully functional digital cockpit – a true rarity these days for the C4. The interior is in exceptionally good condition and original condition.
All the comfort electronics (electric seats, mirrors, etc.) work perfectly. The car is also equipped with a non-original radio/tuner, Bluetooth, and a Targa panoramic roof.
The air conditioning is currently disconnected, so its functionality cannot be guaranteed.
All modifications and alterations are registered. Numerous repair invoices and other vehicle documentation are also available. An appraisal with a grade of 2- is also included. The car’s value was assessed at €21,200 replacement value or €17,000 market value.
Due to its current non-drivable condition, the Corvette should ideally be collected by trailer or transporter. This will ensure safe and stress-free transport. Serious inquiries are welcome – the Corvette is being sold as an honest project with a very good foundation and significant investments already made.
The Chevrolet Corvette C4 was produced from 1984 to 1996 and marked a significant departure from the previous generation in terms of styling and technology. Where the C3 had remained in production for fourteen years, the C4 arrived with a sharper, more aerodynamic body and a fully digital instrument cluster, which was considered highly advanced for its time. The base engine in early C4 models was the 5.7-litre L83 V8 with Crossfire injection, later giving way to the more capable L98 and LT1 units. The C4 is widely regarded as a turning point for the Corvette nameplate after the emissions-era compromises of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and it has gained a strong following among American classic enthusiasts in Europe.
